Belgium: Brussels - The EU

On our last day in Belgium my parents and I visited and toured the European Union buildings in Brussels! The architecture of the buildings was amazing and it was fascinating to learn more about how the EU works. After seeing the EU we walked around a few parks, ate lunch (I got a tasty veggie lasagna), visited a pretty church, checked out the Tintin store, and bought a few chocolates to give as gifts to family and friends before heading to the train station.

We ended up catching an early evening train back to London. The ride back was so pretty; we saw a ton of flowering fields, old buildings, and some wind turbines before heading into the (very black) chunnel. I couldn't have asked for a nicer weekend getaway with my parents!
