An Athens Wedding

Saturday, 6/25/2011, my cousin Anna got married to the sweetest boy on earth, Spencer. Their beautiful ceremony and reception were in Athens, Georgia, at the Foundry Inn. You can catch up on wedding festivities here!

The wedding ceremony was held in the evening, and it was perfectly short and sweet! The bride and groom came down the aisle to The Black Keys and Passion Pit, and the ceremony was lovely. I think the adorable flower girls and ring bearers stole the show!

After the ceremony, we headed to the reception room. The tables were all assigned name of places the couple had been together, which was super cute! We watched the new couple have their first dance, and then everyone started flooding the dance floor, which was a blast.

The event was catered, but my mom actually made and decorated the wedding cake and over 200 cupcakes for the event! Whew. It was such a blast spending time with family and friends! When Anna dn Spencer left, they eaded out in a tunnel of sparklers, which was so pretty!

After the reception, we headed into downtown Athens for music and French fries, before calling it a night. I got up bright and early the next morning to have a family breakfast with the bride, groom, and all of our relatives, and then we decorated the newlywed’s car before sending them off—to a honeymoon in Ireland!

Honestly, this was one of the best, happiest weekends of my life, and I wouldn’t trade the memories for anything! What are some memories that you have that you wouldn’t trade for the world?
