How did you spend the weekend? Mine was super fun; on Saturday I went to Canterbury! The town was too cute; there were loads of shops (check out the Beatles gear below!) and gorgeous historic buildings!
On Saturday, super early in the morning, Yilong, Hayley, and I caught the tube to Victoria Station. Hayley headed off on an adventure to Stonehenge, and Yilong, Wen, Shiva and I took the hour and half bus ride to Canterbury! Unfortunately, I slept through most of the ride there, but the scenery was lovely during the drive!
We got super lucky; even though Canterbury was cold, it was way warmer than it had been in London earlier in the week and it didn't rain! After getting off the bus we wandered the town for a bit. I was surprised by how much upscale shopping there was (Topshop, University Outfitters, etc.)The town was super adorable, though--there were loads of old buildings!
Almost everywhere you go in Canterbury you can see the Canterbury Cathedral, an absolutely beautiful building in the center of town!
The inside of the cathedral was really stunning! We walked around the whole thing, and even got to visit the crypt (there were no photos allowed there, but it was super cool). I seriously can't figure out how people built structures this beautiful with their bare hands!
